I am so excited that my song Just Me and You has been selected as a semi-finalists for the 2012 International Songwriting Competition (ISC). They received over 20,000 entries from 119 countries worldwide. (This song recently won the Grand Prize at the Dallas Songwriters Association Contest but this another International Competition.) I am very honored because songwriting is another element in music to be respected for. The list is arranged alphabetically by songwriter's name.
The next step is that this group of semi-finalists will be narrowed down to the finalists who will be sent to celebrity judges. Finalists will be announced at the end of February. Winners will be announced at the end of April.
What a wonderful cast and crew I got to work with in The Drowsy Chaperone. We spent so many long fun hours preparing for the show that I am now sad it is over. The picture shown is from the song Toledo Surprise. (click picture to enjoy song)
Hi everyone! This weekend I'm playing the lead role of Janet Van De Graff in The Drowsy Chaperone, which was played on Broadway by Sutton Foster who is currently the star on Bun Heads on ABC Family. The cast and I will be competing for a TUTS Tommy Tune Award against all of the High Schools in Houston. Anyway, we are SO excited! Check out the video below, it is one of the awesome songs we will be performing with the lifts, cart wheels and high note at the end!
