Hello MM's, This night was very touching to my heart! It was such an honor to sing for this event. Wow, and Anne Reardon (orange shirt) was the special speaker who shared her incredible journey of overcoming this horrible disease. B.P. (British Petroleum) had their own choir sing. The most touching part was walking around the bags and lighting my own grandmother's and aunt's light/bag in memory of their beautiful lives.
Special thanks to Katy Rocks, Inc. and Relay for Life/American Cancer Society!
Best,
Macy XO

I am so excited that my song Just Me and You has been selected as a semi-finalists for the 2012 International Songwriting Competition (ISC). They received over 20,000 entries from 119 countries worldwide. (This song recently won the Grand Prize at the Dallas Songwriters Association Contest but this another International Competition.) I am very honored because songwriting is another element in music to be respected for. The list is arranged alphabetically by songwriter's name.
Become a fan of the International Songwriting Competition 2013!
The next step is that this group of semi-finalists will be narrowed down to the finalists who will be sent to celebrity judges. Finalists will be announced at the end of February. Winners will be announced at the end of April.
Thanks for all of your support!

What a wonderful cast and crew I got to work with in The Drowsy Chaperone. We spent so many long fun hours preparing for the show that I am now sad it is over. The picture shown is from the song Toledo Surprise. (click picture to enjoy song)
Hi everyone! This weekend I'm playing the lead role of Janet Van De Graff in The Drowsy Chaperone, which was played on Broadway by Sutton Foster who is currently the star on Bun Heads on ABC Family. The cast and I will be competing for a TUTS Tommy Tune Award against all of the High Schools in Houston. Anyway, we are SO excited! Check out the video below, it is one of the awesome songs we will be performing with the lifts, cart wheels and high note at the end! Studio VII presents The Drowsy Chaperone
Don't miss the Seven Lakes High School's award winning Studio VII Theatre Company presentation of the wildly funny and entertaining musical within a comedy, The Drowsy Chaperone. Mayhem, mix-ups and a wedding mark the high-spirited hijinks of The Drowsy Chaperone, winner of five 2006 Tony Awards. The fun begins when a die-hard musical fan plays his favorite cast album, a 1928 smash hit called "The Drowsy Chaperone" and the show magically bursts to life. Suddenly the man finds himself immersed in the glamorous, hilarious tale of a celebrity bride and her uproarious wedding day, complete with thrills and surprises that take both the cast and the audience soaring to the rafters.
The performance dates are February 7, 8, and 9 at 7:00 p.m. There will be an additional matinee performance on February 9, at 2:00 p.m. Ticket prices are $10 for students and $12 for adults if reserved. At the door the prices are $12 for students and $15 for adults. Katy ISD Gold cards are $5. Tickets may be purchased in advance at the Box Office call (281) 237-2836. For more info online click here.

This is Deacon Jones in 1962 when he played for the Chicago White Sox. He played Major League Baseball for the Sox from 1962-1966. Deacon then went on to coach the Houston Astros ('76-'82) and the San Diego Padres ('84-'87). Jones is currently serving as the special assistant to the president for the Sugar Land Skeeters, a member of the independent Atlantic League of Professional Baseball.
_
And that is where I got to meet him at the Sugar Land Skeeters Minor League Baseball game where I performed the National Anthem. It is always a funny feeling when you meet a person who has accomplished so much in their life. I aspire to be an inspiration to others as Deacon Jones has been to so many.
