This just in - Jonathan George and I wrote a song you may have heard of called Just Me and You. This song was recently picked as the Grand Prize Winner of the 2012 Dallas Songwriters Song Contest. The DSA 2012 Song Contest is one of the longest running international song contests for amateur songwriters.   I wanted to say Thank you to the Dallas Songwriters Association for choosing Just Me and YOU!

Wavers of Impact at the Katy Mills Mall

Hello MM Fans, It has been a crazy couple of weeks. I have been performing at the most unique places for very cool events. This Saturday I will be performing for the Waves of Impact Walk A Thon at the Katy Mills Mall.

USMC Silent Drill Team, Katy Rhodes Stadium

I was SO honored to be asked to sing the National Anthem for the USMC Silent Drill Team, honoring all Houston area Operation Enduring Freedom veterans at Katy Rhodes Stadium on October 9th, 2012.  This event really touched me and I was so happy to be a part of it. Thank you USMC!

Meet Deacon Jones - Sugar Land Skeeters Minor League Baseball

This is Deacon Jones in 1962 when he played for the Chicago White Sox. He played Major League Baseball for the Sox from 1962-1966. Deacon then went on to coach the Houston Astros ('76-'82) and the San Diego Padres ('84-'87). Jones is currently serving as the special assistant to the president for the Sugar Land Skeeters, a member of the independent Atlantic League of Professional Baseball.

And that is where I got to meet him at the Sugar Land Skeeters Minor League Baseball game where I performed the National Anthem. It is always a funny feeling when you meet a person who has accomplished so much in their life. I aspire to be an inspiration to others as Deacon Jones has been to so many.

Gingerbread Jog - You Can't Catch Me!

Come see me at the Gingerbread Jog on December 1, 2012 at Villagio Town Center in Katy, Tx. We can jog together for a great cause. The mission of the PHC (Pregnancy Help Center) is to minister to the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of women and their families as they experience pregnancy.  Their services are offered at no cost and include pregnancy tests, mentoring and counseling to pregnant women, and educational classes.

Multiplicity Antique Show - Warrington, TX

I had such a great time singing on Sunday, Sept. 30th for the store Multiplicity in the biggest antique show in Texas.  Warrington, Texas where it's miles of antiques and fun!  My brothers made some necklaces with the owner of the store.  Shop, Create and Escape at Multiplicity Antique Show twice a year.

Sugar Land Skeeters!!!!

Thank you Sugar Land Skeeters for having me come out to perform the National Anthem at your beautiful new stadium. I had a wonderful day! It is so exciting performing at the same place where Toby Keith, ZZ Top and REO will also be performing.

Dallas Songwriting Association Grand Prize Winner

This is the guitar I won signed by singer/songwriter Beth Nielsen Chapman.  It is beautiful!  My song 'Just Me and You' won the Grand Prize in the Dallas Songwriting Association contest that I co-wrote with Jonathan George.  We are very honored to receive this national award.

-100 Club: they donate money to families of fallen policemen/women and firemen/women for funeral expenses.

Cure Fest 2012 - Humble Civic Center Houston, TX

I can not believe what an amazing time I had performing at the Cure Fest this year in Houston, TX. I almost forgot it was like 125 degrees outside that day. But no worries!!!! The show must go on. And I got to meet the winner of The Voice, Javier Colon. He is such an incredible singer/performer.
